Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon, Olcott Harbor, Eighteen Mile Creek, Fisherman's Park, and Burt Dam. Held on the Saturday of New York State’s free fishing weekend; No fishing licenses needed! Register at the Olcott Marina pavilion. Must be ages 4 to 15 to participate. No fishing from boats allowed. Patriots Parade
12:30 p.m., Olcott
Dress up in red, white and blue and decorate your bikes and wagons. Meet at Krull Park overlook in the north park by noon and march to Olcott Beach Carousel Park. Free ice cream and ride ticket for participants. Sponsored by Olcott Beach Carousel Park and Carousel Concessions.

Pirate Festival

National Band Organ Rally
Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Olcott
Band Organ Rally presented by the Carousel Organ Association of America featuring a sight and sound spectacular and over 50 instruments built in the USA, England, France, Holland and Germany. Merry-Go- Round organs, European Fairground organs and hand-cranked Street Organs brought by collectors from as far away as Maine and Florida will delight and entertain you, playing all kinds of music ranging from Classical to Rock and Roll and everything in between. Come and experience “The Happiest Music On Earth”. This free event is part of the annual Old Olcott Days weekend and will take place in Krull Park and throughout the town from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Jazz Sea Sunset at the Olcott Yacht Club
A fundraiser for Olcott Beach Carousel Park (a not-for-profit, all volunteer run kiddie park) and takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Guests can enjoy an evening of musical entertainment (for listening and dancing under the stars) with the Sophisticats on the patio and sing-along piano favorites in the dining room with Kevin Clark. $20. Tickets also include a light supper. Cash bar and a view of the sunset on Lake Ontario. Park at the Harbor Inn on Rt. 18 and take the trolley to the yacht club at the end of Van Buren Street in Olcott. Pre-sale tickets only. August Fest
Main St. Newfane, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Family entertainment, craft and food vendors, chicken bbq, ice cream, flea market and much more. 11 a.m. Interactive Parade - Watch the parade come down our Main Street. After the parade we will have the floats, fire trucks and old tractors parked for the kids to come and look at up close. The horses and wagon that are in the parade will give free rides for all through the village from noon- 2 p.m. Sponsored by Newfane Business Association, First Niagara, M&T Bank, and MPD Architecture.

Olcott Beach Carousel Park Presents its 11th Anniversary & Roaring 20's Community Appreciation Day
Noon to 6 p.m.  Special guests include Popeye and Olive Oyl. Antique 1920's car display. Entertainment on stage at 12:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. will feature "The Three Little Pigs" by the Omnipresent Puppet Theater from California. Free washable tattoos for the kids, a Skee Ball Challenge (3 divisions, winners of each division receive a Regal Theater Gift Card), cookies, and free rides on the Olcott Fire Truck from 1 to 3 p.m. To show appreciation to the community for their support of the park, carousel rides will be free.
